Proofle in your server
A morning kickoff, everyone's results in one channel, and a leaderboard that keeps score by the day, week, month and all time.
Add Proofle to DiscordNeeds View Channel, Send Messages and Embed Links in one channel. It never reads messages or member lists.
Set it up
- 1Add the bot with the button above. You need Manage Server permission.
- 2Pick a channel by running this in your server:
/proofle setup channel:#proofle time:09:00 timezone:America/Chicago
Onlychannelis required. The rest:- channel
- Where the kickoff, recaps and members' shared results are posted. The bot needs to be able to post there.
- time
- When the daily "Proofle #N is live" post goes out, 24-hour clock. Default
09:00. - timezone
- Which clock that time follows, as an IANA name such as
America/ChicagoorEurope/London. It also decides which day "today" is for the leaderboard. DefaultAmerica/New_York. - recap
- Whether the bot follows the kickoff with a recap of yesterday: how many played, the average proof, who hit Hazmat, and the most-missed question. Default on.
- recap_answers
- Whether the recap reveals the answer to that most-missed question, behind a spoiler tag. Default off, since members in other time zones may still be mid-game.
- categories
- Which question banks your server's Proofle draws from:
american, scotch, irish, world, distillation. Type them comma-separated (suggestions appear as you type), pick a ready-made combination like American + Scotch, or leave it asall.
/proofle setupagain any time to change these. - 3Done. Every morning at kickoff the bot posts "Proofle #N is live" with a Play button, then a recap of yesterday: who played, the average, who hit Hazmat, and the most-missed question.
How server scores work
- One Proofle per server. Your server picks its categories, and every member who plays it gets the same five questions that day, always the full ladder from Level 1 to Level 5. Links from the kickoff post open straight into it.
- Only the server Proofle ranks here. Members can also play their own personal Proofle with whatever categories they like, and post it here too, but it's labeled Personal with its categories and doesn't count on the server board. The site's global leaderboards rank everyone, with a board per category mix.
- Sharing is joining. When a member finishes and taps Share to Discord, their result posts in your channel and they're on your leaderboard from then on. Nobody appears on a board for a server they never shared to.
- Every day counts after that, shared or not. Boards rank by total proof for the period, average as the tiebreaker, and show streak and Hazmat days.
- Leaving is one tap from Stats on the site. Sharing twice edits the post instead of reposting.
